"Enjoy your membership in the Church. Where else in all the world can you find such a society? Enjoy your activity. When I was a missionary in London fifty years ago, my companion and I would shake hands in the morning and say to one another, “Life is good.” Life in the service of the Lord is good. It is beautiful. It is rewarding." (Gordon B. Hinckley, “Live the Gospel,” Ensign, Nov 1984)
Ironically, I discovered this little bit of advice years ago on the tab of a cereal box or cake mix box (it's been so long I don't remember!).
"Honorable marriage is more important than wealth, position, and status. As husband and wife, you can achieve your life’s goals together. As you sacrifice for each other and your children, the Lord will bless you, and your commitment to the Lord and your service in His kingdom will be enhanced." (Ezra Taft Benson, “To the Single Adult Brethren of the Church,” Ensign, May 1988)
"Love means to love that which is unlovable; or it is no virtue at all." (G.K. Chesterson)
"Where there is great love, there are always great miracles." (Willa Sibert Cather)
"Real love begins when nothing is expected in return." (Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
No one will love you for how great you are, but how great you make them feel. (Unknown)
Love does not consist in gazing at each other, but looking outward together in the same direction.
(Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
A bell is no bell 'til you ring it,
A song is no song 'til you sing it,
And love in your heart wasn't put there to stay --
Love isn't love, 'til you give it away!
(Oscar Hammerstein)
***Gift or Handout Idea****

Wrap a small, empty box. Attach this poem to the outside:

This is a special gift,
That you can never see.
The reason it's so special,
It's just for you from me.

So if you're ever lonely,
Or even feeling blue,
You only have to hold it,
To know I think of you!

You never can unwrap it.
Please leave the ribbon tied,
Just hold the gift close to your heart,
It's filled with love inside.
Just for today I will live through the next 12 hours and not tackle my whole life problems at once.
Just for today I will improve my mind. I will learn something useful, I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.
Just for today I will be agreeable. I will look my best, speak in a well modulated voice, be courteous and considerate.
Just for today I will not find fault with friends, relative or colleagues. I will not try to change or improve anyone but myself.
Just for today I will have a program. I might not follow it exactly, but I will have it. I will save myself from two enemies - hurry and indecision.
Just for today I will exercise my character in three ways. I will do two things I don't want to do, just for exercise.
Just for today I will be unafraid. Especially will I be unafraid to enjoy what is beautiful and believe that as I give to the world, the world will give to me.
